I just uninstalled #SWGoH, the mobile Star Wars game I've been playing for 6.5 years. Every single day, without fail for 6.5 years.
Something switched in my head and I just cannot get my head fully in the game anymore. I tried to fix it, and realized I needed to just not play for a while.
I thought uninstalling it would make me sad, but I feel very meh about it. I'm wondering if I'll ever be inclined to go back?
Told my guild leader that I'm not just stepping down as an officer, but now I'm also going to put the game down for a month. I was struggling hard to keep up with new information, and it was making me feel like a failure and like I was stupid. And that's a silly thing to do to myself.
I am gonna stay and do basics for a bit, just to ease the unexpected transition. Then, no more #SWGoH for a month. π

Eep! I just told my #SWGoH guild leader that I need to step down as an officer for a bit, and maybe semi-retire to another guild for a couple of months.
I was letting myself stress about a game, and that's exacerbating my cognitive troubles (TBI). I have now given myself the necessary permission to not pick it up without an excuse, even though I don't actually think I would be happy if I don't play.
It's about the freedom to choose, I guess.
@arcadus didn't surprise me. I see some really horrible names and that's been EA's response to me, also (if I get one). But we can't say hell in chat. π
π€¬ I'm so mad I gave them a fuck ton of money this year in #SWGoH, a game I've been playing daily since 2019, and then they go line up to sell to the Saudis and Kushner.
If this goes through, I'll quit the game, and I can't even begin to explain how much quitting will mess with me.
I will achieve max raid rewards by the next time Order 66 launches. *happy dance*

If I'd known how much I had to spend before ~now, I'd have run the numbers on these things long ago. But I figured that over time, my heart would give me a clear decision. I guess I can picture myself existing in both, which is the problem.
Just finished my 1st swim πββοΈ and as soon as I get a few hits in on my #SWGoH guild activities, I'm getting the paper back out. π
