OPUS 4 | Proceedings of STS-hub.de 2023: Circulations : Towards encounters amongst STS scholars in Germany

Science and Technology Studies in Germany has several decades of history. At the same time, STS has been discussed in a range of disciplinary niches; in the 2010s increasingly STS scholars called for connecting the German landscape of STS scholars. The STS-hub 2023 served this purpose, performing a conference space that served scholars' needs to meet without harshly disciplining their mode of doing STS. The Hub was to allow scholars to meet colleagues, interact and leave, without having to threaten any of the already existing STS associations, groups and networks operating within Germany. This publication collects selected panel reports and offers a book of abstracts, both serving to document the state of STS in Germany in the early 2020s

Hey hive mind - any interesting STS communities in or near(ish) Münster? I don't have a great overview of the German scene, but planning a trip in the fall. Who should I look up / try to visit? Special interests in scientific representation, visualization, images as evidence, artistic research, valuation, etc etc etc... #STShubDe @sts #STS
chaired the final meeting of the #STShubDe 2023 steering committee this morning! Thank you @sts #STS community for making this event so wonderful! Now next team is assembling to work towards a hub in 2025.

⚡ Still energised by the #stshubDe and all the wonderful talks, events, and people. 🦾

A warm thank you to the organising team for this amazing event! 🙏

Final Agenda of stsing's 3rd General Assembly | Announcement | Doing Science and Technology Studies in and through Germany

Final Agenda for our upcoming General Assembly on May 5, 2023, 1-5 pm!

As an afterthought to #STShubDe, currently listening to #NewBombTurks' album #Information Highway Revisited from 1994, on a local train with no WiFi.
In hindsight, I have come to the conclusion that my paper at #STShubDe on the need to bring more #qualitative_analysis and #praxeology into the debate on #data and #capitalism and more #Marx and #Adorno into #DataStudies was not a total failure.
After busy days at #STShubDe in Aachen, I finally have the time to post a fitting picture from my way to the conference, concerning #circulation and (information) #infrastructure. The conference, in contrast, was totally glitch-free. A great thank you to the organizers! Looking forward to the next edition.
‘Testing to Circulate. Addressing the Epistemic Gaps of Software Testing’ by @AnjaKlein , Libuše H. Vepřek, Sarah Thanner, Mace Ojala, Rebecca Carlson & @tgupper - a working group focused on methodologies for studying code in ethnographic research. Or the the Code Ethnography Collective
#STSHubDe
Our (the Code Ethnography Collective) paper on epistemic gaps in software testing is coming up in the last session at #STSHubDe. At this point of the conference I am overly tired and overly caffeinated but still quite excited!

We're live with our panel on "Circulating Experimental Knowledge: On Co-laborative stsing in the Anthropocene." We discuss how to do good international collaboration. Appreciating epistemic heterogeneity. Moving experimentally. And such great input!
