I poked around in the Third Kalpa a bit and realized I was only one menorah away from gaining access to the Fourth Kalpa so I seeked out Mother Harlot and easily defeated her to get it.
People say this game is hard but I find it easy compared to #StrangeJourney.
Anyway, I made it back to the Third Kalpa and have been exploring every bit of it, finding some good items and leveling up my crew along the way.
I may have played a little too long this morning because I feel like I’m going to get interrupted with a random encounter while writing this post…
Here's a "way too long" review of SMT Strange Journey I wrote. If you read it, tell me what you think. #smt #shinmegamitensei #strangejourney #nds #ds #nintendods #bearblog
Last week I saw the doc #StrangeJourney: the story of Rocky Horror and totally recommend it!
What's funny is that I have never actually seen Rocky Horror Picture Show. But it's so culturally pervasive that I know lots of the characters and memes and famous lines. But I've always understood it to be a quirky cult classic with a with a big cosplay fan base, but not much more.
What I had no idea about was the film's significance to the queer community at that time (1975) and how generally transgressive it was for its time. It's also unique in that it started as a stage play, became a film with audience participation and then evolved further to become a film with a live cast on stage in front of the film.
A nice little touch is it is directed by the son of the original Rocky Horror writer.
Luckily, almost all the main cast members are still alive and could be interviewed for the film.
I'm really glad that I saw the documentary before seeing #RockyHorror, which I will obviously have to do now.
