This is Kissalan Sihijuoma, or the Cattery's fizzy drink.

The back of the can says this is local animal shelter's support soda and apparently 40 cent from each can goes towards funding their operations.

Seeing the can isn't actually silk screened (or whatever they do these days) but a sticker, I'd want to guess this is one of those generic sodas sold to businesses for their own branding.

It says it's lemon-lime but it's very mild tasting one, nothing like Sprite or 7up. Props for actually putting sugar in it.

Wäinö the cat, seen in the background, is one of the local shelter's rescue cats, found wandering in a ditch as a very young kitten.

Wäinö also gave the most disgusted face ever when I let him sniff the drink.

Yellow-Capped Passover Coca Cola

I never paid much attention to the color of caps on bottles of Coca Cola. In fact, I do not think I bought a bottle of Coca Cola in almost two years. But thanks to a 2014 article in Food & Wine, I learned that Coca Cola makes yellow-capped Coke for Passover (HT Dan Lewis at Now I Know). This Coke, like Mexican Coca Cola, is sweetened by sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. The New York Post wrote about the Passover Coca Cola before this year's Passover. Citing to the New York Times, the […]

I learned that Coca Cola makes sugar-sweetened Coke for Passover, and the special Passover Coke has yellow caps.

This is Fentimans Curiosity Cola from UK.

I'm actually quite a fond of these less known cola drinks and I really wanted to like it, until I realised it's one of those where they mix sugar with artificial sweeteners. As usual, I taste nothing but a long aftertaste of whatever they used as that artificial part.

Thanks, but nope. If they are going to put artificial sweeteners in it, why even bother with sugar?

This is Fonti di Crodo Limonata, an Italian lemonade. I've always loved these actual lemonades that aren't filled to the brim with sugar. Brisk lemon taste and that's all I wanted of it. No notes.
