Another 'trigger' for me is people saying "I'm going to write a blog about that" when what they mean is that they are going to write a BLOGPOST! #smdh
Also heard Tim Miller of the Bulwark Podcast (and a much younger person than Arlene) refer to Twitter. Twitter became X in 23. #smdh
Whether you like it or not the internet and its platforms are shaping our world. To willfully refer to something that no longer exists, and in fact has been replaced by something that acts to deseminate right wing views of a billionaire actively destabilising politics in your own country is to my mind is the height of carelessness. Be accurate!
Next week it will be 11 years since this happened.
Trump descending on a golden escalator at the start of his run to take over the world. He is giving a thumbs up sign and there are people in the background wearing Trump T-shirts (paid $50 I believe was the amount paid to wear them). Also apart from the press there was no great throng of well-wishers, or supporters.

The problem is, he didn't just lose his state ID card, he lost ALL his cards. His habit was to just keep them all in one big stack over an inch thick, and to take that entire stack out with him whenever he thought he might need any of the cards in it.
Then he lost the whole stack.
The New York DMV says they can't issue him an ID card if he doesn't have sufficient proof of who he is.
I'm out of ideas.
