Sisi Visits Uganda as Egypt Increases Coordination on Water Security
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni discussed Nile water issues and regional security during talks in Entebbe on Wednesday, as Cairo steps up coordination with Nile Basin countries amid ongoing tensions with Ethiopia over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The visit, which followed a trip by Museveni to Cairo several months ago, comes as Egypt seeks to strengthen political and economic ties with Nile Basin states in support of its water security strategy.

Omani Reign is a rapper who joined Sisi Film Lab because she wanted to learn directing and cinematography. During the training, she wrote and pitched her own script in the final phase. Now she’s taking that knowledge back into her music and directing her own videos.
She got her name “Omani Reign” from “Woman Reign,” turning it into Omani Reign.

Geno came to the training as a poet and writer. She was drawn to directing and producing, but along the way she also decided to try acting during the student film projects. This was taken during a scene, playing an auntie role.

Reagan started his journey at Sisi Film Lab in Gulu. After that, he came to Kampala for an internship as an editor on a TV series. The following year, he chose to train again, this time focusing more on cinematography. From there, he grew into the role and went on to be the DOP on Tatu Taps on Love, a production that was largely run by students as part of their internship.

Cedric started out acting in the Sisi Film Lab student short films during the trainings. Being on set made him more curious about how it feels being behind the camera. Along the way, he developed an interest in directing and writing, and decided to join the training to learn more and grow in those areas.

Emma was a student of Sisi Film Lab. He came in as a writer and poet, and during the training he was really into writing and sound recording. Along the way, he stepped into set design on one of the projects as an assistant and he loved it. Now he’s one of the people helping design most of the sets during our productions.
