Finally found some spare time to tinker with my #Commodore64 and its #SIDKickPico 2040 DAC while doing some beta testing for Frenetic and some chiptune test recordings for me. Could this result in some chiptune music recordings appearing on my otherwise silent and neglected Youtube channel? Don't expect too much, but - yes.

Success 🥳💪🏻 Using #Vice #vsid to play a #Commodore 64 psid file over usb through an #ftdi ft2232h on a #SwinSID. Audio out via the SwinSID #pwm output back into the linein of my PC. You are hearing 16Bit Machine 🎶 from the #HVSC

Also tried the the #SIDKickPico by #frntc but thats not playing clear sounds yet.
Ps. The bits spamming past are debug prints, no worries.

Deepdiving into controlling sid chips/ replacements from different platforms
Featured here is an esp32-wrover with SidPlayer by @tobozo connected to a sidkick pico by frntc and an esp32-wroom with c64sid by doctorvolt also connected to a sidkick pico by frntc.

One has to explore all corners into playing c64 sid files. Using SIDBerry with a SIDKick Pico on a RaspberryPi 4 to play R-Type SID. Far from perfect, but getting there.
