#Sprachbeschallung mit mobiler Zentrale, vom Endanwender über #Tablet gesteuert…

Eigentlich ist es ja schnell erledigt… so ein Rack zusammenschrauben. Sollte man meinen. Aber bis so ein System wirklich gründlich getestet und vor allem sinnvoll konfiguriert ist, geht dann doch einige Zeit rum.

Noch ein mal final testen, dann gehe ich nächste Woche an die Decke. Mit den Boxen.

Die End-UserInnen sollen diese Kiste aufstellen, das Ethercon-Kabel verbinden, ebenso Powercon… und dann startet alles selbsttätig. Ihre Tablets verbinden und loslegen… bin mal gespannt.  

Digitalisiert wird das Audio in den Mikrofonen… analogisiert erst wieder kurz vor den Aktivboxen.

Das #AllenHeathAHM als zentraler Prozessor fällt mir leicht zu nutzen und ich habe weder im Gerät noch in der Software bisher einen Bug angetroffen. Qualität, die Freude macht.

@rasterweb I'm always open for work for the right price and right industry, but I don't think I'm going to do better than what #shure is currently paying me, or offering me in terms of benefits and remote work.

However I don't think they have any "loyalty" to me. They laid off a bunch of long-time employees not too long ago. As you get older you end up with a target on your back, and then you'll never get hired because you're "over qualified."

I think working for myself would be better.

@baldur I recently started using Claude 4.2 for #verilog #fpga development because my company #shure pays for github copilot for vscode. I've spent about a week using it. I've had a manager I know harping on how useful it is for him for at least six months.

It is not mandatory. I can stop using it any time. (Except maybe because it is like a drug?)

I started using it because I wanted to understand it well. I'm a EE specializing in computer design, so I want to understand deeply.
