Waymos in San Francisco caused chaos during mass power outage

Waymos stopped in the middle of intersections during a mass power outage in San Francisco over the weekend, causing the robotaxi company to suspend service for a day. Social media users posted videos of Waymos on Saturday with their hazard lights blinking, stopped right before entering an intersection with a darkened traffic light, or in many cases, stopped in the intersection while cars swerved around them. The power outage affected 130,000 homes and businesses in San Francisco. By Monday morning, the utility company was still working to restore power to more than 5,000 customers.
