Wearing this coat/cloak always makes me feel mysterious and chic.

There’s something gloriously vacation-like about spending time in other neighborhoods of my city. (She says while inhaling the most decadent salmon and spring vegetables alone at the bar after spending an hour perusing the used shelves at Green Apple Books.) #SFLyfe
Whoever is dj-ing the playlist at Golden Sardine tonight deserves a raise. #SFLyfe
It is hot, and the world is too heavy a burden to bear, so I did some slow walking about it today. Here are some lovely things I saw. #SFLyfe
In which Benry the dog went on his regular morning walk *and* walked to the library with me to use the color printer *and* had to wait while I had a long chat with our friend Jon while we watched the Bocce guys play at the park. He is now too tired to exist. #SFLyfe

Reason number 8,527 why living in a city is the absolute best: there was no reason to panic when I discovered that the milk had spoiled overnight after I put the kettle on for my morning coffee. I grabbed my keys and walked literally around the corner—didn’t even have to cross the street—to the bodega for a fresh half gallon and got back before the water was boiling.

Sometimes, it’s the small things.

Join a picket line at a school near you, send a letter to the district, and/or go to Tuesday’s rally at noon to yell it out.

Again with the Artists Win Superbowl (Bad Bunny was magnificent.)

Now I’m prepping my sign for the picket line tomorrow. Rally at Civic Center Plaza at 1:00pm #UESF #CommunitySolidarity #SFLyfe

While waiting for my burrito on a slow night at the taqueria, the staff member running the register sings tunelessly along with the forlorn breakup grupera song playing a little too loudly over slightly tinny speakers.

Yes and amen.

Happy Transit Operator Day! If you didn’t write your operator a commendation, there’s still time! https://www.sftransitoperator.day

I don’t normally ride on Tuesdays, but I hopped on a 39 Tiny Bus (tm) in the middle of the dog walk and after the other passenger got off, enjoyed my limo up Telegraph Hill. #SFLyfe
