My first Hackintosh machine from 2020 has served-out its purpose as hMac and it’s now a rather powerful gaming PC.

Changed the motherboard to ROG Strix B550-I which has enough connectors so that all of that front I/O can actually work (a rare thing for that gen).
Still loving the look of the NCASE M1 case, truly a classic gem now.

I finally finished my TV build: I added an RTX 2080 to a MINISFORUM AI X1-255 over OCuLink. I expected it to perform much worse on just 4 PCIe lanes, but it’s doing surprisingly well. I’d say the setup is ready for couch gaming now.
The only downside: the GPU fans spin at 100% when the PC is turned off.
Now I have a beefy 8 core CPU, 64 gigs of ram, 16 of which are allocated to iGPU, and an 8gb gaming card with 20gb of shared memory in one package. Blessed to have gotten most of the hardware before prices spiked.

La nueva Steam Machine me hace ojitos. Sé que no es para mí, apela a mi gusto por el #sffpc pero se queda bastante corta en muchos aspectos como la Ram.

Aún asi he disfrutado tanto la Steamdeck que solo por eso me genera la duda.

Pero la Steamdeck me dio el empujón a pasar mi PC a Linux para jugar, y estoy muy contento con mi PC gaming de 11L.

Eso sí el Steam Controller cae seguro

I noticed that I only posted about a few "Small Form Factor PCs" (sffpc) mods I did, but never showed the full build.

So here it is!

I's from Dec 2022 and matches or closely outperforms the framework desktop.
Though a lot of tuning went into it, to make it work [inaudibly at idle|at 23.9dB(A) under sustained load].

(I'll add a small rant about the state of sffpc, followed by a rant about the framework desktop, followed by my part-list in the replies)
