Would that #SFMTA, #MayorLurie and the #SFBOS paid attention to information like this and moved to develop an integrated plan.

What we have is BOS Resolution ( and I appreciate the efforts of #SupervisorMelgar to get it passed) - but I fear the Mayor and SFMTA management don't really get it.

The board meeting is in recess until 3pm, so just a few minutes until it is supposed to start up again. My guess is arrests of the #labor activists will happen before.

As someone who used to loosely follow #sfpol, how does the election shift power between progressives and moderates on the #SFBOS (assuming current results hold up)? Dean Preston losing to Bilal Mahmood would obviously be a win for the #yimby crowd, but I'm less sure about everything else.

Moe Jamil - clearly gunning for Aaron Peskin's voters. He is housing-obstructionist, but unlike Peskin, very pro-police. Interesting combo? I suppose banking on reactionary sentiment is hardly a losing gamble. Eloquent speaker.

Matthew Susk - pretty strong delivery of points. Very big on public safety. Broey vibes.

Eduard Navarro - start ups guy. the biggest technocrat of the bunch. Wants to turn SF into Paris but funny enough doesn't believe zoning matters. It does, Eduard, even though I wish it didn't. Was the only person to point out that crime in SF is actually down.

#SanFrancisco #D3 board of supervisors debate just ended.

My impressions and experiences of each candidate:

Danny Sauter - best responses on #housing. Could have done better to hold candidates feet to the fire on claims they are being "pro housing." Attacked by other candidates for being anti police and gasp opposing #fleetweek which he denies.

Sharon Lai - a technocrat hailing from the #INGO sector just like me. Lone woman on the stage. Claims we have enough housing in the pipeline to meet our 82k housing obligation to the state. I'm very skeptical that even she herself thinks that is true.

J Connor Ortega - formerly #homeless. Most poignant but lacking in substance. Claims on stage we have enough housing thus lesser need to build but conversing in person clarified he thinks the west side needs to build more. Has no love for supervisors Peskin and Preston's anti housing positions.
