What color is the Dreamcast swirl logo to you? Some say it is red and some say it’s deep orange but I feel it is a perception thing, or the fact the Dreamcast was almost always played on CRT TVs back in the day with stock composite cables for most folks, meaning it added color warmth, gamma shifts and slight hue variations

From talking to the Segagaga patch team, it appears that Exxistance pulled the Japanese script out of the game and ran it through DeepL/ChatGPT to get his initial bearings, and both the MTL script and the Japanese script were put into a collaborative Google Doc.

Then human translators went through all of that and adjusted or rewrote it. So it appears that they had access to the Japanese script the whole time and very easily could refer to it. He says they "combed through every line and either scrapped it, re-wrote it, and/or naturalized it."

We at SHIRO! didn't know about the AI usage before we published our story, and we've edited the story to reflect the Segagaga team's AI disclosure in their project's GitHub.
