This is just wild!! Thanks to the amazing work of @kylebarron on his #python package lonboard, and @paleolimbot on nano- and geoarrow, we can now leverage blazing fast arrow data transfer from #rspatial #rstats sf types to the browser using deckgl (rendered on a leaflet map). Below is an example of more than 1 million building footprints, rendered in less than a second!! I am beyond excited about this! #sdsl

I've got this working before and it's basic stuff, but definitely feeling a 'wow moment' getting cross-language geo equivalent of "Hello world" working with #RStats and #Python locally AND remotely with GitHub Actions + CD. Next-up #julialang? Slides: incoming! #geocompx #sdsl
