So the 'Red Sonja' film is finally out of limbo. Sure it's not gonna be the biggest blockbuster of the summer, it seems like it has a pretty limited budget, and barely any marketing, and a rather tight window between theatrical release on the 15th of August and going on digital on the 29th.

But it also has a hint of late 90's Xena/ Direct to DVD charm going for it, the fight choreography looks solid, the people behind it seem to get the comics and the character, and it stars Matilda Lutz who also starred in Coralie Fargeat's 'Revenge', and it looks silly fun. So I'd be lying if I said I'm not going to be watching.
