I helped others during the hardest days in Gaza, but now I cannot find someone to help me protect my own future.
But when I ask for guidance, a connection, or support to continue my studies, everything becomes silent.
Do people from Gaza have to lose everything before someone decides their dreams are worth saving?
I am not asking for pity. I am asking not to be left alone.

However, I should be transparent about the practical situation. Admission to the PhD program here at the #EPNEcuador involves significant #bureaucracy, particularly for international students, and, due to bureaucrat-mandated inflexible programs, the next opportunity to start would not be until April 2027. Due to the current administration’s crackdown on #research and #postgraduate programs, the #scholarship situation is also very uncertain. I will probably not stay here past end of the term!

Today in Gaza, I stood again in the middle of hardship, trying to serve displaced families while carrying my own fear that my future may disappear.
Humanitarian work taught me that Gaza does not only need aid. Gaza needs educated young people who can rebuild, lead, and serve better.
That is why I am still fighting for my education.
Not to leave my people behind, but to become stronger for them.
