"The South Australian government took months to update its health advice after the discovery of a potentially harmful toxin in the state’s disastrous algal bloom, insisting it posed minimal risk to humans."

'Let's not scare South Australians': What the public wasn't told about the toxic algal bloom

The government knew a harmful toxin had been found in its algal bloom, but took months to update its health advice.

I believe that the South Australian premer’s name is spelt Peter Malinauskas

but is pronounced

Petty Malice-sook-arse.

This is an interesting, and I feel welcome, turn of events. I'm a big supporter of Zibi, and pooling resources into a bigger tent will hopefully work.

I honestly feel like Helen Zille is a detriment to #SAPolitics and makes coalition work more problematic ##southafrica

I find it childish that the DA and ANC always fight in public instead of having dialogue with each other.

I always had high hopes for the #GNU as long as the DA tried to be constructive. But from my perspective it seems they still are very much the party in opposition to the ANC and can't work without that mindset. The only thing they bring to the table is "good governance" but otherwise thrive in the status quo. One that most #SouthAfricans feel must change.

But this is turbulent times internationally, and I'd rather a GNU that works and is stable than the alternative.

Why is Hellen Zille still even in the DA, let alone a position of power? “The real problem for this country right now is Helen Zille. She is the quintessential wrecking ball” to the government of national unity (GNU) https://www.news24.com/citypress/voices/mondli-makhanya-helen-zille-will-be-the-death-of-the-gnu-20241117 #SouthAfrica #HelenZille #DA #DemocraticAlliance #GNU #GovernmentOfNationalUnity #opinion #SApol #SApolitics
