My Mastodon server has issues: user profile pictures and media haven't loaded, showing alt text instead. I deleted all media via command line to optimize my instance. VPS usage dropped from 19GB to 16GB of 100GB. I also integrated S3 storage. Any ideas?

So, when I have the time, energy, and resources, I'll integrate my Mastodon instance with my separate S3 object storage system. The provider is a Malaysian company, and yeah, this Mastodon server can be very Malaysian, except for the VPS, which is hosted in Singapore, lol. Also, the DNS hosting is provided by the legendary, old good company.

Nach langer Suche habe ich endlich S3 cloudstorage Client Software gefunden, die macht, was ich brauche.

Für Linux ist es #rclone mit dem rclone browser und für grapheneOS ist es #exfilac.

Hauptproblem mit anderer Software war die Konfiguration des Zugriffs auf alternative storage Anbieter (statt #AWS). Bei den beiden Tools funktioniert es. Für Linux würde ich mir wünschen, daß #beyondcompare endlich alternative S3 storage Anbieter unterstützt 🤨
