January 2026 is here, and Samsung have focused on releasing the January 2026 security patch for the majority of Galaxy users worldwide. As per their rollout schedule for security updates, Samsung have released the January 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S23 users, starting from the Korean version.

The following firmware information is found:

• SM-S918N: S918NKSS6EZA1 [KOO, SKC, KTC, LUC]
• SM-S916N: S916NKSS6EZA1 [KOO, SKC, KTC, LUC]
• SM-S911N: S911NKSS6EZA1 [KOO, SKC, KTC, LUC]

To update your Galaxy to this security update, follow these steps:

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. We are excited to announce that starting from today, users can now download the One UI 8 update to their Galaxy S23 smartphones in India as Samsung has finally released this exciting version of One UI. One UI 8 Beta 2 is out [Galaxy S23]!

One UI 8 has made a significant appearance, with new features and other improvements. We are very thrilled to announce that Samsung has released the second beta version of One UI 8 (build ZYI5), as Samsung enthusiast Tarun Vats pointed out, that has the following changes:

• Bugs that have been fixed
  • Fixed the reset issue while using the phone
  • Fixed the issue that the Dex setting value is not maintained when fota update to One Ul 8 from the previous OS

One UI 8 Beta Program is now open for the Galaxy S23 series!

One UI 8 has made a significant appearance, with new features and other improvements. We are very thrilled to announce that Samsung has recently opened the One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23 series in the following countries:

• Korea
• United States of America
• United Kingdom
• India

This gives us a hint that the Beta Program is now open. Users should be able to try out One UI 8 in its earliest shape and form on their Galaxy S23 devices, including the base model, the Plus model, and the Ultra model. You can identify the update with ZYHB.

To join the Beta Program, you must have the latest version of Samsung Members installed. You can get the latest version through either the Galaxy Store or the Play Store. Once done, you should be able to join the program if you have an eligible device.
