My birthday's coming up (May 27th), and I've decided anything money or purchase related will be rerouted to one of my closest friends Doe's kids (she has twin boys, they're turning 13 I think, and their birthday is the day after mine). I already sent Doe what I could scrounge up myself, and when my bestie offered to get me something for my birthday I asked if he could send her whatever he would've spent on me, so there's that too. 😊 I'm really excited for those boys, I love them so much and I barely get to see them, so I hope they end up with enough spending money to at least have a really great day out and a couple treats along the way. 🥰
As for me, I'm thinking if anyone asks and wants to give *me* something directly, I'll just ask for it to be something that they didn't have to spend money on. I love handmade gifts and getting quiet, quality time with loved ones. I wanna celebrate myself in ways that feel more personal and don't have to empty people's wallets.
I'm also, as always, perfectly okay with no gifts. They're nice, but we (people in general) shouldn't be pressured to get them just because it's someone's birthday, they should be given because we want to and want to show our appreciation in that way. ❤️ Personally, I'm just happy to have survived this far and made it to a place that feels somewhat stable. That's huge for me. Anything more is just bonus. 😊 I'll probably try and draw something I've been meaning to for a while as a little gift to myself. We'll see.

Just now saw that Aethy's been saved and passed on to safer grounds it seems. I'm really happy! That instance deserves to remain a good home for budding and wayward artists alike. ❤️
That said, I don't think I'll be moving back anytime soon, or at least I don't think I'll be leaving DenDen unless it really starts to feel like I don't fit in here. I know my art is mostly human anatomy based, but I do love a good opportunity to practice drawing creatures and monsters more often like I used to.
Since Aethy is still federated with DenDen among others I think I'll stay connected from here and, once things seem to have been settled there for a while, I'll probably make a new Aethy account as an addition to this one. 😊 
I've been thinking a lot about the different types of art I like to make, and I think I'd like to one day do an actual physical art trade with another artist. Like, physical stuff we made my hand or printed our art onto, shipped to each other. I do a ton of crochet, knitting, hand-sewing, macrame and of course drawing, and I'd love nothing more than to make a bunch of goodies for someone I know appreciates that sort of thing just as much as me, y'know?
