LORD RONALD SUTHERLAND-GOWER (Part one)

Jan 2022 Town Crier LORD RONALD SUTHERLAND-GOWER (Part one)  Carolyn Gray I seem to have undertaken a research task that is greater than one ‘Town Crier’ article, and then become unsure where …

Social Mediable
In Rusthall St Paul's Church is the memorial to Lord Ronald Sutherland Gower, his adopted son Frank Hird, and Franks wife Gladys.
I did a lot of research on Ronald and Frank, who lived at Penshurst and then in Tunbridge Wells. There is much to be read into the phrase "adopted son". I think I finally managed to write their tale onto wordpress, although the real truth they took to their 'graves' ( Ronald was cremated, a novelty at the time in England) #Rusthall

We then walked on to the village of Rusthall, which was the place we're people originally settled, has an older church etc. Lots of sandstone rocks and long views.
