I was looking forward to an early finish yesterday until the #Fuckening. The nice two lane A class road I was on turned into a single track, barely above dirt track, road over the moors (yet still somehow rated as an A road, suitable for two way traffic including articulated lorries) and hillsides. A road where even 20mph was dangerously fast.

It cost me over an hour of travel time.

I saw that young #heron standing on the path this morning. As nice as it is to see #wildlife up close, I do hope it learns to go somewhere else real soon. This is a relatively busy path, next to a relatively busy road [obvs we're talking busy in terms of #RuralScotland, not the #M25, but still, timber lorries use it all the time], and if it keeps hanging about here then one day the view I'm going to see of it is laminated to the road surface or shot by an angler.
