Runrig – The Stamping Ground (2001, Scotland)
Continuing our journey through the epic Fedi-sourced catalogue of must-hear albums, our next spotlight is on number 6 on The List, submitted by Almandine. Formed on the Isle of Skye in 1973, Runrig was a much-beloved Celtic rock band that, by the time we get to this, their 11th studio album, had gone through some changes including lead singer Donnie Monro leaving and being replaced by Canadian Bruce Guthro. This album brought renewed interest in the band particularly across the pond, and - though the tale is ultimately tragic - has even been played in outer space.
