Very muddy and very hilly Ironwood Challenge today. You know it’s tricky when they have to provide a tethered rope to pull yourself up the side of a quarry! 😬😳

Thrilled to have Ben at Hidden Jewel Tattoos back in my life - now at his new shop in Exmouth.
He has done all my tattoos and now number 14 too, marking completion of my first ultra marathon.
Photo of tattoo to follow…when it’s not bleeding 😆 #RunningIsFunning
Today was an off road run with slippy mud, hills (including one we had to crawl up), wind, sun and hail.
All worth it for the views from the top and the third medal in Burnham Harriers 2025 trilogy. #RunningIsFunning
A wonderful weekend in the North West starting with Crosby Parkrun, followed by brunch with good friends in “Emily’s at Formby’s”.
An evening of Strictly with family before a sub-hour finish at the Wirral 10K and seeing the Jane Tomlinson Appeal Run For All team too. #RunningIsFunning
Surprised myself today. I was 100% motivated to do a half marathon because of the medal. I’m never motivated by a medal.
This was meant to be my last long run before my ultra but I’ve had to withdraw from that.
But the medal is one of a trilogy of races this year…I couldn’t bear to have a gap! #RunningIsFunning
Loved #parkrun at Billericay this morning.
Fantastic volunteer team (great first timers briefing) and a steady four lap course (little hill four times just to keep it interesting). Ran with my mothership who was first in her age group.
Cooled down with icecream in cafe after. #RunningIsFunning
A brutal but fun Cheddar Gorge Challenge Half Marathon today.
Constant (and largely severe) hills, technical sections but breathtakingly fabulous views.
Training aim was for time on feet and challenging terrain. Got both.
