An elderly judge has a stroke and is placed in a nursing home where the patients are terrorized by an elderly dementia patient at best or a lethal psychopath at worst who uses a hand puppet to aid in his reign. And the judge is the latest target. This is an extraordinarily unsettling film to watch, especially if you’ve had relatives in care homes. Director James Ashcroft makes the movie all that more unsettling with dodgy camerawork and scenes that make one question of what they are seeing is real.
