Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) dragonfly perched on a green bramble leaf. It has clear wings with amber patches near the leading edges, a pale yellow thorax, and a reddish-brown abdomen with fine black markings.

Painted Lady butterfly (Vanessa cardui) perched on a white bramble flower (Rubus fruticosus). The butterfly’s wings are partially closed, showing the intricate patterning on the underside, mottled brown and tan with black and white spots. Its curled proboscis is extended into the flower, feeding.

A bit of leaf morphology

Hops growing rampant on brambles, I really like these kinds of entanglements.
