My mother's aunt, Dorothy Cole Meade published 4 books in the late 1930's, all of them murder mysteries. Though I have had the books many years, I only am just reading them now. I think this is a good example of her ability to set the mood on this rubber plantation where murders keep happening.

She lived in Jakarta with her husband who was assigned to the police services there for about 8 years. (He has his own adventurous book!)
