1. A man I went to school with was killed. I haven't seen him since high school but I liked him and remember him fondly.
2. (Unrelated to 1) There was a shooting at the mall in my city. During the Halloween trick or treat event. According to the news, no kids were injured but how traumatic for everyone! I wasn't there but that is way too close to home.
