Bicycled 10k in just below freezing weather.

Was okay except for the wind. Had to use my gaiter for warmth.

The chargeable warm socks worked really well on the low setting. First time I've ever bicycled in below freezing where my toes stayed warm after I was done.

Saw a few ❄️ snowflakes.

Noticed the Root River was going almost as fast I was. Wasn't sure if they let up the dam in Lanesboro or there was just that much water from the rains.

Then I saw this sign. Yep, that much water.

Bicycled to Whalan to get my spouse a peach pie. Had apple with cinnamon ice cream for myself. Also got her walnut fudge from Whalan Depot.

About 50 people bicycling. 1 recumbent. 1 kid. About 8 electric bikes.

Air quality was much better today so bicycled for a nice 15 miles. I slept through the thunderstorms that tore up so many trees from mile marker 27 to mile marker 21 on the Root River Trail. Trail was cleared by locals and DNR of Minnesota really well. Feels good to start getting back to bicycling for pleasure after almost a month of traveling with only one bike share opportunity.
