Hello world!
I tend 2 post about #movies, #television & #books, especially #RomanceOfTheThreeKingdoms which I am consumed by at the moment. I may also share some creative projects I’m doing, like #writing, #video, #art, & #analog tech. And of course I like to post random thoughts and tidbits that I think someone might find amusing.
That’s all very generic so here’s some personality 👽🌈 <— that’s me on the inside. Truly just wanna have fun. Peace and love 🪅

I got a new copy of Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Moss Roberts, Chinese Classics). I don’t see any credit for these illustrations, but I very much appreciate them. It definitely helps to know which are the major characters when you read.
My previous copy was lent out and never returned.

Cáo Cāo going from potential savior of the kingdom to failing spectacularly to accidentally murdering his uncle's whole family to purposefully backstabbing said uncle in the back.... this wasn't the roller coaster I expected from this episode!
I was rooting for him but the end of the episode was dark
ps: I was about to cw this with "fictionnal violence" but well... our boy Cáo Cāo technically did kill most of those people back in 190CE
I started watching the 1994 Chinese adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and it went something like this:
1st episode: Three main characters! Fights and friendship! Sworn brotherhood! Good times and simple plot + action!
2nd episode: 20 main characters, everybody looks the same, backstabbing on backstabbing on backstabbing, palace political plots
... I started a doc to keep track of the characters and the plot, it made watching it much more enjoyable and easy to follow!
Also when double-checking people's names in Wikipedia I got spoiled! Multiple times! On well-known Chinese history! Unbelievable...
