Ancient relic

Anybody remember these things‽ LOL. Part of the MANY things I took off my old desk and eliminating instead of returning to my new desk. I just went through the whole thing and confirmed every single card is either already in my iCloud Contacts, or is LONG obsolete. One card still had a 7xxxx,xxx format CompuServe address!!

Looks like that #PDA in the #MondayActionMovie last night was a Rolodex REX, from Franklin Computer. No data input ability, just let you view info synced to it from a Windows PC. In effect, a PCMCIA card with an LCD screen & a few navigation buttons.

I still have 4 or 5 rolodexes in semi-regular use, picked up for $2 ea from a resale shop. They are long-term tactile memories of people in ways that no online system yet replicates.
