I have a special affection for the film
Dingo; it is a kind of contemporary urban fairy tale. The beginning: Jazz musician Billy Cross' plane makes an unscheduled landing at the airport of a small town in Australia, "in the middle of nowhere". And then the musician decides to play a music right there with his band, on the airport runway! A few people watch the performance; among them is a 10-year-old boy, John, who is delighted with the performance. At the end, Cross chats a little with John and, before getting on the plane, tells the boy that if he ever goes to Paris to look for him. (Well, it turns out that the character Billy Cross is played by none other than... Miles Davis!). This scene is here:
