June Foray and Bill Scott #BOTD the voices of Rocky and Bullwinkle.

"It was a special show for special people," said Scott, who also voiced Mr. Peabody and Dudley Do-Right and was the head writer and co-producer of the show (with Jay Ward).

THE WORLD LOST A REAL TREASURE WITH THE RECENT DEATH OF VOICE ARTIST JUNE FORAY
RiP

June Foray was something of a local phenomenon, having gotten her start creating voice characters at the public library in Springfield, Massachusetts. Strange to say, Richard C. Hoagland got his start quite nearby. Can't remember for certain but it may have been at the Springfield Science Museum. Springfield has a lot of culture and learning, brought together in one small neighborhood. June Foray was one of the bright gems to come out of it.

A 1966 commercial for CAP’N CRUNCH produced by Jay Ward (ROCKY & BULLWINKLE).

The iconic cereal mascot was created by Allan Burns (1935-2021), co-creator of THE MUNSTERS and MARY TYLER MOORE.

Burns was a writer for Jay Ward Productions, which did the ads for Quaker Oats from 1963-84.

"Peabody's Improbable History-Quentin Trembley"
For my good buddy Devon Baxter who made the astute observation that Quentin Trembley’s design looks a lot like a Jay Ward character straight out of “Peabody’s Improbable History.”
Now I can’t help but wonder what he would’ve sounded like if he was voiced by Paul Frees. (I keep picturing Ludwig Von Drake with a transatlantic accent.)
