Frank T. Morgan30 June this year (i.e., 2024) was interesting. Church had gone well in the morning, and then I enjoyed a good rehearsal playing jazz with a friend in preparation for a gig, eventually, where we might sit in the corner of a nice restaurant and provide “ambience” with jazz standards and some selected tunes from the 70s. The drummer was busy, but we had electronic drums. Yippee.
Maybe next time I can write a little more about it, and you can follow.

It's got Leslie Nielsen in it. Yes, the very same Leslie Nielsen who said, "Don't call me Shirley" in Airplane. This was back when he played leading men in serious movies.
It's a real sausage fest in the ship. Not one woman. One of the guys asked what gender Robby the Robot was, and the robot wisely answered that the question does not apply.

While the dome took a lot of painting work to get the reflection believable...
Inside the dome took a lot of modelling work. Crafting plastic, bending wire and even using a drill as a tiny lathe.

Robby the Robot.
Scratch-built / sculpted Prop replica. Standing ~140mm tall.
The dome is painted as a reflection and is magnetised and removable.
The main body is painted with a "buffable" paint to give it that real shiny appearance.
