Got my Democratic primary ballot (I always vote my mail, as my disabled status allows) for city council.

I voted for one person who is a fellow enby who works for an organization dedicated to reducing drug deaths with Naloxone and needle exchanges and the like and a man who is running on fully funding our public schools (the conservadem city council just issued a 14 million dollar cut) and expanding our public transportation which I utilize a lot.

I voted against both active city council members cause they should all be given the boot universally, and also didn't vote for the banker in the race because obviously.

I've heard stories of the little rock club that my hometown Roanoke, VA used to have where a number of famous punk and new wave bands played and it makes me very jealous. My mom saw The Ramones play there and she didn't even enjoy them!

Here in Roanoke, our signature dish is from a hole in the wall dive eatery downtown called the Texas Tavern (ahaven for drunk and hungover people in our biggest nightlife area).

The burger is a "Cheesy Western", it a cheeseburger with fried egg and mustard with onions and chili as optional. A couple different places have it on the menu other than TT, and it is the only times you will see me purposefully order a burger (my stomach doesn't process beef well).
