Posting an Otter this morning rather than a Warbler. May post a Warbler after chores. The post yesterday reminded me of several interactions with Otters at the nature center - always joyful. On this particular day, I had worked with this Otter back and forth all morning as it hunted the creek. Toward the end of the morning, it came out to sun and to have a stare down. Pretty sure this is a male since it was hunting solo. When I see groups, it is usually a female with 2-3 kits, teaching them to hunt. A local expert indicates that we likely have 6 to 8 Otters in our area. We also have Mink, Beaver, Muskrats, Vols, Raccoons, and perhaps too many Deer. No kike is complete without seeing at least 10 Deer. Helps me forget the fucking insane orange fat bastard for a while.

North American River Otter at the Seneca Park Zoo. Not sure, but I think this is one of the pups born there last spring. They are goofy any silly and all kinds of fun to watch.
