I don't think it was absolutely necessary but the Giants optioned Johnson back to the #AAA #RiverCats in order to fit Devers into the active player roster.

This leaves them short in the outfield with only Encarnacion as a potential back up in right. Johnson has already proven that he's a better fielder in right & a better batter at the plate than Encarnacion.

So, I question this decision, especially if Encarnacion can't get out of the deep slump he's been in after he got called back up. Something tells me that Encarnacion will be gone & Johnson might be coming back if Encarnacion doesn't start to hit. 😉

Haven't been to an MLB game in #SF or #Oakland for years.

Just watch them on #TV when I can now but I have been going to minor league games in #Modesto, #Stockton & #Sacramento.

Now that the #Athletics have moved to #Sac, I'll have to consider whether to go up to see their games but I'd still rather go there just to watch the #AAA #RiverCats

May also take the time to go to #WestOakland to watch a #SemiPro #Ballers game this season. Just heard they've opened a food mall across the street which will give me another reason to go there to check it out.

I'm currently planning to drive down to Modesto to watch the #SingleA minor league game between the #ModestoNuts & #SanJoseGiants on Sunday at 1pm.

If the #As use Sacramento's home dugout, along the 3rd base line, next season their on-deck circle will be right in front of ksm831 awesome behind homeplate seat.
