as a reminder one of their 2 "gimmicks" would be to imprint (i'd imagine it'd be either special pummel, or directly on grab) and "copy" the other character's gimmick. in other words they'd be the same as Kirby in smash bros for that, except it wouldn't be a cargo grab
the issue i'm running into is that imprinting is on organic/genetic aspects of the imprinted, if i understand the lore correctly. which would arguably be fine for characters whose gimmicks are part of their biology (probably Zetterburn for example?) but not for character who draw their powers from an external thing, basically (for example Fleet who uses a kind of crystal on her bow)
i have a fix for this which would technically make sense for the story i'm trying to make but it's a bit cheap imo

Rivals of Aether IIWell, I think it's kinda sad that people are just ditching Rivals of Aether as a franchise because of the sequel being not as successful as the original.
I think the teen target audience was a perfect thing for the story and the references, but Aether Studios just went full on Nintendo and made rated E the norm.
I personally believe that the swear words should've stayed and the stuff like booze and cigs. Hell, why not add blood graphics? Teen-rated titles can have that too.
I think Dan set the franchise up for failure. He did good on the first half, but his management kinda destroyed everything.
I still love Rivals of Aether, but I feel that these corporate decisions are gonna be the death of Aether Studios.
