Note in the calender today: "Fetch the Man from the library".

No, there is not a library-affiliated dating app (unfortunately). It's a movie called The Man Who Couldn't Say No (Risto Jarva, 1975), about the civic activism that saved the Puu-Vallila area. A comedy classic that my Macedonian co-curator needs to see, a 101 on Vallila and Finnish culture in general.

DEAF CROCODILE FILMS TO RELEASE FINNISH DIRECTOR RISTO JARVA’S LONG-UNSEEN POP ART/SCI-FI FEATURE “TIME OF ROSES” (1969) - Rue Morgue

Finnish director Risto Jarva’s fascinating, futuristic, sci-fi mystery is set in a dystopian, Pop Art-designed world of gleaming white towers, Sony video monitors, and inflatable furniture where the beautiful inhabitants all dress as Edie Sedgwick-like pixie sprites or medieval page boys.
