Statewide Protest: Say NO to Governor Abbot's Complicity in Cruelty · Mobilize

Across the state, Texans will turn out to say NO to Governor Abbott's complicity in cruelty, inhumanity and waste, fraud and abuse in the renovation of warehouses into concentration camps. In San Antonio, that means turning a building meant for boxes into a holding pen for 1500 men, women and children. And Abbott says San Antonio and Bexar County have nothing to say about it or the stain it will put on the city and communities that surround the warehouse.

##Join CAFE and the CSC to protest the warehouse the Feds secretly purchased in Romulus, Michigan that ICE intends to open as an immigrant detention center! **7525 Cogswell Street, Romulus, Michigan** **EVERY SATURDAY 3pm - 6pm** **Bring your signs and stand together for our community!** -The Department of Homeland Security used your tax money to secretly purchase a warehouse in Romulus. They paid 2.4 times market value to outbid a Toyota supplier, stealing quality jobs and investment from your community. -The DHS plans to use your tax dollars to convert this warehouse into an ICE Detention Center to detain hundreds, probably thousands, of people in a warehouse that was never intended to house human beings. -The warehouse is in a floodplain, but ICE plans to connect to your community services without oversight or accountability. -ICE is going to bring cruelty and social unrest to your doorstep. To the front door of your children’s school. To the community where you live, play and work. *Join us every Saturday to stop ICE from opening this atrocity in our community!*

## Messaging Storm ### May 27, 2026 **A coordinated call to our Elected Officials** U.S. Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121 ### Demand Congress support legislation to block the DOJ Slush Fund and Trump’s audit immunity. **Background:** Donald Trump, his sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, and the Trump organization sued the IRS for the leaking of their tax documents. As plaintiffs, they dropped their $10 Billion lawsuit for the agreement by the DOJ to set up this $1.776 Billion “anti-weaponization funds,” although the DOJ has not explicitly stated who is eligible for recompense, it has been suggested that those who participated (and were pardoned) in the January 6th attack on the Capitol could seek for damages. Trump defended the fund on Truth Social stating, “I am helping others who were so badly abused by an evil, corrupt, and weaponized Biden Administration, receive, at long last, JUSTICE!” However, on Capitol Hill, Democrats and Republicans are calling this an abuse of power and a slush fund. This fund will provide recompense using tax-payer dollars and part of this alleged settlement provides Trump and his family essential immunity to have their finances investigated. ## Example Call Script [adapted from [5calls.org](https://5calls.org/issue/trump-lawsuit-slush-fund/)] Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from Bowie. I'm calling to urge Rep. Ivey to support legislation to block the creation of a $1.8 billion slush fund for Trump's political allies. This fund is blatantly corrupt and will funnel taxpayer dollars to convicted criminals and insurrectionists at the expense of the American public. Additionally, I oppose the DOJ granting Trump, his son’s and the Trump Organization forever immunity from being audited as per section C of the May 19, 2026 addendum to Trump v Internal Revenue Service.
