AGI - La Russia è pronta a partecipare agli sforzi di mediazione nella guerra in corso in Medio Oriente. "Mosca sta comunicando questioni e valutazioni a Teheran", ha dichiarato il ministro degli Esteri russo, Serghei Lavrov, come riporta Ria Novosti.
Secondo diversi media, in questo momento i Paesi in prima fila nella mediazione tra Iran e Stati Uniti sono Turchia, Egitto e soprattutto Pakistan.

La Russia "non è indifferente" a quanto sta accadendo tra l'Iran e i suoi vicini, ha proseguito Lavrov intervenendo a una riunione del consiglio di amministrazione del Fondo Gorchakov per la diplomazia pubblica.

La Russia è convinta che "solo l'unità dei Paesi del Medio Oriente soddisfi gli interessi della regione, non l'uso della forza e i diktat", ha dichiarato ancora il ministro degli Esteri russo, Serghei Lavrov. Il riferimento potrebbe essere all'ultimatum lanciato all'Iran dal presidente Usa per la riapertura dello Stretto di Hormuz, poi rinviato da Donald Trump sulla base dell'annuncio di presunti negoziati con Teheran.

"Stiamo notando una serie di dichiarazioni contraddittorie da tutte le parti, alcune delle quali si contraddicono a vicenda. Non conosciamo la reale situazione", ha dichiarato ai giornalisti.
Peskov ha ricordato che la Repubblica Islamica "ha confermato questa apertura nei fatti fino all'ultimo, prima dell'inizio delle ostilità, fino al momento del primo attacco all'Iran, rimanendo aperta alla prosecuzione dei negoziati, che stavano procedendo con discreto successo".
