In 1965 on #ThisDayInHistory, the #WhiteSupremacist colonial government of #SouthernRhodesia issued #Rhodesia's Unilateral Declaration of Independence. This was to avoid any chance of independence favouring the black majority. The #apartheid government finally collapsed in 1979.
The Palestinians had no role in the #Holocaust, yet 80 years on they continue to pay the price for the crimes of power-hungry #Europeans. Israel’s creation was not a commitment to peace but a strategic bulwark against #Soviet influence. Today, having long outlived its original purpose, Israel increasingly resembles #Rhodesia—struggling to justify its existence and embracing fascist ideology as a means of survival.

#ZANU was Mugabe's #revolutionary movement against Rhodesia. They fought a war called the #BushWar, in which Rhodesia committed horrific #WarCrimes.
