An upstate New York town has had to call off its annual Christmas celebration, blaming rising costs caused by Donald Trump’s sweeping global tariffs.

The effects of Trump’s foreign trade wars have meant that the Sinterklaas celebrations in Rhinebeck, around 100 miles north of New York City, have been canceled for the first time in 26 years.

Does your local library deliver books on a bike-bookmobile? This one is in Rhinebeck, NY. The woman who told me about it said they take it to farmer’s markets and other events, stock the books according to the event. It’s very eye-catching and popular. (trying to get one in my town—we have a bunch of cargo bikes)

Spent a beautiful #Autumn afternoon eating a picnic lunch and exploring #FerncliffForest in #Rhinebeck NY. A true hidden gem of #HudsonValleyNY. Many easy, peaceful paths through the #forest and placid ponds. Autumn color is further along than it was when I drove past last weekend, by next week it will be peak (and no doubt crowded by hordes of leaf-peepers). Will have wait for my next visit to climb the fire tower as my dog couldn't navigate the metal stairs, and she'd loose her mind if I tied her up alone to wait.
