Kaoruko Hanayagi and Futaba Isurugi sit beneath the bright neon lights of a cabaret more at odds with each other than ever before. At issue in this stage play scene on the magical Stage of Fate is whether these two will stay together or go their separate ways.
Their Revue of Resentment is all about Futaba's newfound need to stand out on stage with her own talent vs Kaoruko's controlling codependence that would see them always together but never equals.
"For heroes there are trials, for saints there are temptations, and for me there is you" sounds like it could be a Shakespeare quote. But instead it's from some animated lesbians in Revue Starlight.
The Revue Starlight movie is crazy. Imagine trapping your friends in a timeloop and finally, after around 60 times of forcing them to fight each other in deadly combat, being dragged out kicking and screaming...
...only to spend the next 2 years hearing your friends say they miss the tournament and wish they could go back.
