One of the stim projects I've been doing has been handsewing these reusable period pads from old cotton undies (for the exterior) and ruined sweatpants (for the absorbant layers)

Stitched with thrifted/2nd hand thread & needles using overlock stitch

Rinse them well with tepid water then launder normally, stripping every several months as needed. Takes approx 1hr to make 1 pad by hand this way
