#retropc Jedna z ostatnich płyt Socket3, kultowy Biostar MB-8433UUD Rev 3.1 i Soyo SY-5BT (Socket 7 na Intelu 430TX). Uratowane przed utylizacją.
Biostar już się testuje z PODP 83MHz.

Habe jetzt ein paar Stunden herumgebastelt und freue mich sehr ;-)

Mein PC läuft so weit. Brauche noch ein IDE Kabel um die originale Platte und den SD-Adapter gleichzeitig dran zu hängen…
Habe auf einer 512MB Partition DOS 6.22 installiert. Jetzt brauche ich einen CD-ROM Treiber… Hihi… Auf einer 2GB SD-Karte liegt Windows 98.

Das bringt mich zurück zu einer einfachen Zeit, in der ich wöchentlich mein System neu aufgesetzt habe… #Windows98 #DOS622 #RetroPC

Jetzt kenne ich auch die Hardware besser.
AMD-K6/2 450MHz, 192MB RAM, 1200MB HDD, CD-ROM, 3,5“ FDD, SoundBlaster PCI, Hauppauge WinTV, 10MBit Ethernet, S3 Trio 3D

Windows 98 läuft… Interessant, dass ich nach 30 Jahren den Produkt Key meiner damaligen Windows Version immer noch auswendig kenne.

Jetzt muss ich die 3D-Leistung testen und Ära-Adäquate Software installieren.

Hat jemand Tipps, was damit unbedingt gemacht werden muss?

Habe einen alten AMD K6-2, mit 450 MHz geschenk bekommen!
War mit 15 meine Dreammachine!
Hat eine S3 VGA-Karte, einen Soundblaster PCI, eine Hauppauge WinTV und eine Netzwerkkarte.
Das wird ein Retro-Rechner mit einem DOS und einem Windows 98…

Musste nur gerade feststellen, dass USB Tastaturen daran nicht vom BIoS her laufen… brauche eine PS/2 Tastatur… suche Morgen mal bei der Arbeit, in Schulen gibt es so was meistens…
