Glad I finally found one of THESE too!

Love me some Michael Penn, a GREAT songwriter who doesn’t get anywhere near the credit or respect he deserves.
“No Myth” is one of my all time favorite songs of the #80s but it’s far from the only great song he wrote.
March is full of really great stuff, and the same can be said about Free-For-All as well as Resigned.

Sean and Christopher Penn’s brother, but equally as good at what he does as his more famous brothers are (and were) at THEIR craft.

Just a stellar record.

Was ich an SimCity 2000 besonders schätze: Praktisch jede beliebige, billige SC2K CD-ROM für Windows enthält nebenbei auch eine komplette Fassung der DOS-Version mit allen Erweiterungen und Szenarien. Bei vielen anderen Spielen muss man die erst mühsam suchen.

Das Ganze läuft hier bei mir gerade einwandfrei in 86Box, PC-DOS 2000 und dem frisch installierten TEAC CD-ROM Treiber.

Just added a TEAC CD-ROM diskette from 1997 to my collection of DOS drivers. This one needs about 14KB of memory, which is a bit more than other drivers, but still significantly smaller than what the Creative Labs CD drivers takes up. Not such a big deal, since I can still load it into the system's upper memory.

Starting to dive into the scores from this morning’s record show, and it was a no brainer to start with this, the true gem find of the morning.

I had been looking for this record for a very long time.
I have always preferred it to the first album, and it’s among my five or so favorite #80s albums period.

About 7 or 8 years ago, my band and I opened for the legendary Art Bergmann (he was not legendary that night), and early in our set, we slipped in a high-octane cover of this album’s opening track, “Diamonds, Fur Coat, Champagne”, and from there, the crowd was on our side and it was smooth sailing.

The first two Suicide albums are essential pieces of art, and now I have OG U.S. copies of both of them.

Today was like Christmas.

PART TWO:

All nine of the records I purchased from my local record show this morning.

Already mentioned the OG second Suicide record in my previous post, as well as The Beatnigs.

Scored BOTH of the Twin/Tone Soul Asylum records I was missing, The Only Ones, the second Protomartyr record (still their best), Michael Penn, and original 1996 press of Amazing Disgrace by The Posies, and a great Psychedelic Furs compilation.

ALL in EXCELLENT shape, and at very reasonable asking prices from three different vendors, a surprising rarity for Record Shows in these parts.

Those three vendors now have a customer for life.

The rest of you greedy heathens take notice.
