Retail fail in Spain!

How many failed attempts at having a fridge delivered should one go through before deciding one is cursed?

We live close to in the middle of nowhere. There is only a track to get to our house.

Last year I contacted Mediamarkt and explained the situation. They assured me they could deliver at our place.

After three no shows from the delivery guy they gave up and gave us our money back. We also got sincere apologies, a promise it wouldn't happen again and a voucher.

By then the worst of summer was over so we decided to wait.

This year we arranged to have the fridge delivered at an address in town.

We went to pick it up today and guess what? They delivered something approximately the size of a fridge labeled with an address 35 km away.

I can't wrap my head around how this is possible.

True story. Just went to homebase (a widespread DIY and garden chain in UK) to buy a broom handle, as current broom handle has split. I do not want a whole new broom.

"Ah no sorry, you prolly need a DIY store for that."
