On a related note:
I've gotten coffee and meds into me, and now I am gonna lie on the couch and enjoy the sound of the birds through the window I could finally open because it rained and cleared the air.
Trying my best to relax today.
Ok, last lil toot before I got nap:
We've just been discussing how rest is a skill, and different than doing nothing, and often hard to allow ourselves to do and whatnot.
So for some peer mentoring / idea sharing / rest celebrating I propose a #restMode tag (I have apparently been using a bit already).
Use it to share your moments of rest, your strategies of rest, the ways you are resting, and lurk for new ideas and framing.
Thing I just said to myself:
"Yep."
*nods comfortably*
"I think I am gonna nap again."
*pauses*
" ...I wonder if I will do it under the lizard lamp."
Even I don't know the answer to that.
Who said resting wasn't also full of suspense and excitement!?!

👆for the record I haven't just eaten toast anyway, I have also had a toaster oven baked potato, an apple, and hot chocolate (yes, full of weed, and also cream).
I have decided pleasure, contentment and repose is a food group and I have been deeply malnourished.
So all my choices are nourishing that.
@lonelinesscorps
So far today I have been on a waddle around the block (it is fresh but lovely out).
Am now pillow nested on the couch, with the windows open to get a sense of fresh outdoorsness without having to sit upright outside, and watching Monterey Bay Aquarium shrimp and smooth tunes - which is lightly fascinating and about all my cog can handle.
Alright @lonelinesscorps
Let's start a conversation around rest:
What are your fav things to do when you're in rest mode? How do you fill your day? What's comforting? What's fun? What restores you?
