Dear Representative -

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act (H.R. 2048 and S. 3442) has more than two-thirds support in the House Ways and Means Committee, but leadership will not bring it up for a vote. The bill has 255 bipartisan cosponsors in the House.

I want you to push leadership to bring this popular bill to a vote, both in committee and on the floor. It would waive the 24-month waiting period for Medicare and the five-month waiting period for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits for eligible individuals with metastatic breast cancer.

Metastatic breast cancer has no cure, but its effects can be mitigated. Women, primarily, but men as well, are dying while waiting for approval of benefits; average life expectancy is three years after diagnosis.

About 25 years ago, Congress made a similar exception for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Urge leadership to follow that precedent.

Speak out, discuss the bill among your colleagues, and sign on as a cosponsor if you have not yet done so. Help get this bill to the floor before November, so it has a chance of passing this session.

Thank you.

Dear Senator / Representative -

I am tired of unserious people with zero experience being put in charge of key parts of the US government.

I want you to set a firm "No" in place regarding acting appointments and the nomination of unqualified people.

Congress should have learned a lesson with Hegseth, who is forcing out experienced leaders with ethics, gutting our military's readiness.

Congress should have learned this lesson with DOGE, not using its power to shut down this agency that did harm to millions.

The new acting DNI has zero experience and is more concerned about whether or not he gets an airplane than the lives of the people deep undercover overseas. Being DNI is a full-time job, not the side gig of the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

I want you to have serious discussions with all of your colleagues in Congress.

Sensitive cabinet-level posts should be reserved for serious people with backgrounds in the area they lead.

Thank you for acting like a leader on this issue.

Dear Senator / Representative -

I want an absolute end to PACs, super PACs, and untraceable money in politics.

I recently read about private prison corporation Geo Group's dark money contributions to Jim Jordan via a Super PAC. That should not be a sentence that exists.

If you can't end these back-room, ultra-wealthy influence peddlers completely, I want you to support the two bills in Congress now that can help take the voluminous dark money out of politics and help make sure that our government is truly a representative democracy.

They are H.R. 2352 and S.4602. Both would limit contributions to PACs to $5000.

I want full transparency. I want every political donation to come with the name of the person who signed the check or made the bank transfer. I want all of it public.

I want you to cosponsor and enact these bills and restore our democracy to the American people.

Dear Senator / Representative:

President Trump said the ballroom would be paid for completely with private funds.

The Office of Management and Budget recently moved $352 million in the 2025 budget reconciliation bill for “White House Security Measures” to the ballroom project, according to NOTUS, an online news organization.

The law states those funds can only be used for “United States Secret Service resources, including personnel, training facilities, programming, and technology.” The ballroom is none of those things.

This is not the first time the president has usurped Congressional power of the purse, and it won’t be the last unless Congress says NO..

I want you to investigate this unlawful behavior. Moreover, Congress should not allocate any budget funds to this monstrous edifice that will overshadow the White House.

I urge Congress to:

1 - Mandate restoration of the East Wing to its original design, consistent with the historic character of the White House complex.

2 - Hold accountable those who proceeded with demolition or construction work without proper legal authority.

This ballroom project is an affront to every law-abiding American and to the institutions designed to protect our national landmarks.

Thank you.

Today's email is about the SAVE Act. Please copy and paste into the form on the website of your Senators. Please share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-us

Dear Senator:

It’s hard to believe that we are still talking about the SAVE Act voter ID bill. It’s like a bad penny. The House-passed SAVE Act would make it harder for eligible voters to register and to cast a ballot.

President Trump continues to engage in fear mongering about a non-existent problem, non-citizens voting. Utah recently analyzed more than 2,000,000 registered voters. They found only one case of noncitizen registration and none of noncitizen voting.

In 42 states, citizens can register to vote online. The SAVE Act would send that process into chaos or eliminate it.

It’s already the law that only citizens can vote, and it’s being enforced.

I want you to vocally oppose the SAVE Act. Persuade your colleagues to oppose it as well.

Dear Sen /Rep -

The budget shows your priorities, and I want you working very hard between now and September 30 on a budget that prioritizes ordinary Americans.

Congress's most important job is deciding how federal money is spent, but Congress hasn't passed an annual funding bill on time since 1997.

What is it going to take for Congress to come together?

This isn't a rhetorical question. I want an answer as to why Congress thinks it is a a good idea to cut public programs that millions of Americans rely on, and why our government is in such profound debt with no end in sight.

I want to hear from you every week. What are your budget priorities and what are you going to do to make them happen?

Highlight this each week. Highlight how much your initiative cost, how much working class Americans and the working poor depend on these programs, and highlight how you are going to pay for them.

How are you going to reform Social Security? How are you going to make sure our healthcare needs taken care of without debt? How are you going to make sure everyone has a safe place to live, food to eat, and access to a quality education.

Make budget decisions and budget discussions dominate the news media. Use every appearance and every media outlet. Be relentless in passing a budget to help all Americans.

Dear Sen / Rep -

Because Congress has fully funded the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI), I want you to fight every effort to end the OOI program.

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) told AP, “This program is authorized, it’s funded, and for the administration to shut it down without direction from Congress violates that vision in which the people’s representatives decide what’s done and funded, and the executive branch executes that vision.”

A bipartisan coalition of Democrats and Republicans, Senators and Representatives, has written the NSF protesting the action, which has not undergone scientific review.

Although NSF is supposed to brief the House of Representatives before a plan to decommission facilities or assets, no such advisory was made, according to House members in a letter of protest to NSF.

I urge you to join your colleagues in opposing the NSF action and supporting any legislation that would prohibit decommissioning without scientific review and Congressional notice. I also urge you to speak out, even if you’re not one of the directly affected states, because all of us suffer when weather data goes dark.

Dear Senator/Representative -

I want you to expand food aid for women, infants, and children, the program commonly known as WIC, because in a nation that can produce a trillionaire, no person should go to bed hungry.

I noticed that under the House appropriations bill, WIC would lose $141 million in funding for fruit and vegetable benefits for the nearly 5.4 million children and pregnant and postpartum women enrolled, according to an estimate from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

My priority is food security for every person, a safe roof over everyone's heads, and education. My priority is NOT the war in Iran, NOT a ballroom, and NOT continued taxpayer welfare subsidies to oil companies, tech companies, and other already wealthy corporations.

I want you to use every tool at your disposal to scrape some of the billions we spend on war and corporate welfare and redirect it to helping Americans.

I want you to articulate a bold vision for how we can and should do better. This nation has the wealth to bring amazing benefits to all people, but the gilded age policies and absence of a realistic tax revenue base are preventing this nation from reaching its true potential. Go back to the tax policies of the 1950s and 1960s. That is part our history that we must revisit.

Push-back on OMB rule-making that would subject research to politics.

Here is the link to the rule: https://www.regulations.gov/document/OMB-2026-0034-0001

The exec summary contains the egregiously false basis for this rule.

Please click the "Comment" box and add your comments.

Below are the comments I submitted. They are using AI to look for unique comments, so please be sure to make to word the comments a bit differently.

I oppose this rule which allows for the termination of grants by appointed political appointees. Determination should be based on scientific merit rather than political agendas.

Allowing political appointees who have not been vetted for their scientific credentials to override the research grant vetting process is akin to giving a friend of the hospital CEO the power to make decisions in the emergency room.

I object to the option that would allow termination of research at any point, for nearly any reason, as research is step by step process that often does not know how it will end. Termination of grants before completion does not result in good science.

Overriding normal peer-reviewed scientific processes undercuts the credibility of the US scientific community, and is not in the national interest. Further, the statements of the justification for this rule are factually inaccurate. It is a symptom of the politicization of the state of science when the government proposing these changes cannot do so without lying to the American people.

Dear Senator/Representative:

I need you to step forward and firmly assert that the federal government has no role in elections. The Constitution places the states, not the Executive Branch, in charge of elections. The attempt by this Republican Administration to insert a Homeland Security / US Postal Service vetting process into voting is unconstitutional and I need you to make a loud stand about this in every hearing. Hold press conferences, get on the talk shows, and make it clear that this Republican Administration is again violating the Constitution.

I have seen the recent reporting showing cases where USPS is demanding that states provide the postal service with information about absentee ballot voters and vote-by-mail state voters so that it can decide whether or not to deliver the ballots.

If your name is not on that list, USPS will not deliver your ballot.

There is nothing in the Constitution and nothing in Federal Law that inserts the postal service and Department of Homeland Security in any voting process.

The federal government’s attempt to insert itself in the process of validating voters is unconstitutional.

Get a resolution to this effect on the floor of Congress. Make it clear that these attempts to hijack the Constitution will not stand.
